Dirty South & Deniz Koyu’s New Bomb: Halo

halo
I’m not sure I’ve heard the Aussie Dirty South produce a bomb quite like the one he released on Monday through his label Phazing. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he collaborated with break-out star Deniz Koyu, who became known for dropping countless bombs over the past couple years (“Bong“, “Tung“, and his remix of Zedd’s “Spectrum” all come to mind). Either way, this track goes hard in a fashion that many producers aren’t quite capable of, while combining the perfect amounts of Progressive House and Electro-House (similar to Fedde le Grand‘s most recent smash “Raw“). The dance floor is given a small break around the 2:50 mark when the kick drum fades out momentarily and the listener is treated to some uplifting chords. Eventually the beat is brought back in, but the uplifting chords remain and it’s a flurry of House goodness. No vocals in this one which I have no problem with because the instrumentation is lively enough to keep me interested the entire six minutes.

Speaking of Fedde le Grand, his latest Dark Light Sessions radio show (#027) was posted to his SoundCloud page today and it featured the above song “Halo”. FLG never misses on pretty much anything he does, so if you are looking for a lively hour of awesome House music from around the world I suggest you crank the following mix.
