Leeds, UK based DJ/Producer Daley Padley aka Hot Since 82 has been on a steady ascent since his underground hit “Let it Ride” released in 2011 on Danish imprint Noir music. “Let it Ride” was certainly the track that got me loving Mr. Padley’s music and I have been following the artist and his releases ever since. In addition to his fling with Noir Music, Hot Since 82 has also put out music on Suara, Moda Black, and Get Physical. His Get Physical EP release titled Forty Shorty dropped about one month ago and it is pretty killer. You should plan to grab it from Beatport ASAP. To give you a taste of Hot Since 82’s sultry deep house sounds, check out his February “Hot Cast” that combines the very best of his productions (including some unreleased material) and his great taste in music. I loved hearing Dubspeeka – Back to Basics (Dubspeeka’s Red Sky Mix) [Hope Recordings] early on in the mix because I had been feeling it ever since I heard it in Sasha’s BPM Festival set last month. Of Hot Since 82’s original productions featured in this “Hotcast”, I am really into his unreleased track “Don’t Be Afraid” [Noir] and the decidedly more techy “Like You” [Get Physical] which was easily my favorite track from the Forty Shorty EP. There was a bit of a hiccup in the middle of the mix from some weird SoundCloud snafu:
(Read in British accent)
“Must have messed up when transcoding.. Defo wasnt my mixing OOOOPS :)” – Hot Since 82
…in any case its a great mix and implore you to enjoy it as much as I did.
