Happy 420! In honor of the high holiday, I bring to you the track “Legalize It” by Electro-Dub group Lance Herbstrong. If you’re like me, chances are you’ve never heard of Lance Herbstrong, but I discovered them around this time last year when writing my Spring Awakening Festival preview. Hailing from Austin Texas, the group consists of Peter DiStefano (Porno for Pyros), Kamal Soliman, and Bill Sarver. The trio is strongly aligned with cannabis culture and many of their songs are mash-ups and edits of songs that span the last several decades. Herbstrong just released their remix of “Legalize It”, combining Peter Tosh and Sublime in honor of 4/20. Rob Myers from Thievery Corporation joined them on the track playing sitar and it truly comes together for a groovy, toker-friendly anthem.
