Robbie Rivera and Federico Scavo aren’t names you hear often on MMIBTY, but they’re absolutely two huge talents in the House music world. Puerto Rican-born Rivera is a veteran in the game, having started producing music back in the mid-90s and rising to fame in the early 2000s. You can find him producing House bangers, remixes, DJing his his Juicy radio shows and parties, and straight up being a boss. Italian Federico Scavo has been working in House music as a producer and DJ since the 90s as well, but he’s been floating under the radar a bit more than Rivera. The two of them teamed up on “Jump” which was released Tuesday on Rivera’s Juicy Music, complete with three remixes. The original “Jump” is set to be an Ibiza instant classic for the Summer of 2013, with groovy vibes and a vocal hook telling you to shake shake shake. While the original is fun, the MAKJ remix is really what caught my attention, with a funky, yet heavy sound and a thumping bass line. The My Digital Enemy remix falls somewhere in between, adding a Salsa piano for some added enlightenment. If you like what you hear, support the artists!
