Israeli techno overlord, Guy Gerber decided to do a tremendous favor to his fans last week when he released a free hour long continuous mix/album on SoundCloud, entitled “Who’s Stalking Who?”. Relatively fresh on the heels of his Fabric 64 compilation from last year along with the stunning underground success of his collaboration with Clarian (of Footprintz) titled “Claire” [Visionquest] (2013), Gerber is no stranger to releasing visceral deep techno anthems. This latest release is full of more original material from Guy, and features nothing less than pristine quality as we’ve come to expect from him over the years. His mixes always build wonderfully, and he has an amazing ear for the most complex of sonic textures . With this in mind, it’s no wonder he routinely ranks among Resident Advisor’s top 10 live acts in any given year with the moody depth and thoughtfulness he brings to the spontaneity of his renowned live performances. New to the Ibiza schedule this year, is his much-hyped Wisdom of the Glove residency at Pacha that is bringing like-minded talent elbow to elbow with Guy all summer long. If you’re lucky enough to be on Ibiza, it’s definitely something to check out. For those who get their kicks at stateside festivals, look no further than Wavefront Music Festival in Chicago, IL July 5, 6, 7.
