If you’ve been listening to Mark Knight‘s Toolroom Knights podcasts over the past several weeks (among other underground/Tech-House/Deep House podcasts), you certainly should have heard Federico Scavo‘s latest track “iRobot”. It dropped back on May 20th on Knight’s Toolroom Records and every time I hear it I’m immediately transported into a world of funk and good moods. The vocal hook on this one, which sounds very much like it came from a robot, adds some fun flavor: “I wanna touch your body/it makes me feel so naughty” (apologies if that isn’t 100% accurate). The Italian-native Scavo really did it right with this track and I’m surely expecting to hear it as part of Tech-House sets this summer.

Here’s what Beatport had to say: “Following his Miami anthem ‘This’, world-renowned Italian DJ and producer Federico Scavo returns to Toolroom Records with his huge hit iRobot. Set to electrify dancefloors everywhere, iRobot is a synth-driven, electro-inspired tech house monster that both Federico and the Toolroom elite have been road-testing with immense reactions. Built around a synth-led bassline hook, Federicos trademark punchy drums and a quirky robotic vocal, this is set to be a stand-out peak-time track in any DJ set. Expect to hear iRobot energising dancefloors and festival crowds all summer long!”
