Out today on Fedde Le Grand‘s Flamingo Records is his latest track “Lion (Feel the Love)”, released in collaboration with French up-and-comer Michael Calfan. Fedde, in typical fashion, has been playing this one nonstop on his weekly Dark Light Sessions radio shows. “Lion” made it into Fedde Le Grand’s Ocean Club set as well so I can only imagine he’s been playing it out at many of his gigs. “Lion” is yet another Electro-charged banger from the Dutch producer, showing his continued streak of pushing dance floor destroyers. I was reminded of the drop of Fedde’s track “Raw” after several listens of “Lion” and although I’m not complaining about the obvious high-quality of the song, I do think it falls into the relatively generic sound of Big Room House these days. I absolutely yearn for Fedde Le Grand to go back to his funky roots, which I know he’s perfectly capable of, but for now we keep the aggression turned up. It’s rumored this record will see a later release with vocals, likely talking about feeling the love, so keep your eyes and ears open for that one.
