Dance is a loose term, but it’s also an inevitable directive. Whether on stage or on record, Boston electronic-pop quartet, Bearstronaut, has made a name in their hometown for sparking instant dance parties. Despite their rather frigid-weather Northeast origins, Bearstronaut has been dubbed “tank-top pop” due to their warm, tropical synth-pop sound. The guys of beantown are back with a wonderful free release entitled Where I’ll Die exclaiming their youth and their refusal to giving into death or the end. The track is quite poppy, however it brings a smile to my face and isn’t that what music is all about?!
Be sure to catch Bearstronaut at this weekends’ Boston Calling Music Festival at City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston. They go on at 1:30 on Sunday as they warm up the stage for the likes of Flosstradamus, Wolfgang Gartner, Major Lazer, and Flume. Full schedule after the jump.
