As part of his 17-stop North American tour, dubbed the After Dark Tour, Felix Cartal is coming to Boston’s Royale Nightclub next Wednesday the 18th for a night of high energy and hard-hitting sounds. The 25-year-old Taelor Deitcher, better known as Felix Cartal and hails from Vancouver, is part of the juggernaut and always-fresh Dim Mak records. I know Felix Cartal for three things: producing banger after banger, his Weekend Workout podcast series, and that incredible flow on top of his head. I’ve seen Felix Cartal live a few times and each time he’s managed to kill it. Sets at Spring Awakening and Electric Zoo in 2012 were heavy-hitting and packed full of perfectly mixed and unique Electro-House tracks. Seeing him at Life in Color at the House of Blues last year was a treat. During a show when more people were there to get painted on than to see a specific DJ, I thoroughly enjoyed the set he put together which included an opening of Wolfgang Gartner’s massive “Nuke” going right into Sander Van Doorn’s “Kangaroo”. More recently the Canadian has been stepping up his production game, with a matured sound and a continued passion for Electro-House vibes (have you heard his remix of Zedd’s “Clarity”?). Whether or not you’ve been paying attention to Felix Cartal or had planned to go to this show, he has a loyal 230,000-person following on SoundCloud and those people know you should be there.

The show next Wednesday is being presented by our very good friends at The Oxford Group, based here in Boston. In case you didn’t know, they continually bring some of the hottest names to Boston and they know how to throw one hell of a party. Last night Rumor Nightclub was packed for Arty and their upcoming schedule looks mighty tasty. Follow The Oxford Group on Facebook for continued updates!

This contest is for two (2) pairs of tickets to the show at Royale. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted by noon on the day of the show. 18+ doors open at 9pm. Tickets are still available HERE.
