In Case You Missed It: GotSome ft. The Get Along Gang – Bassline

Could this be “Jack” 2.0? It’s very possible. I think it goes without saying that Breach’s “Jack” will have been one of the biggest songs of 2013 when it’s all said and done, and it’s a sign of where the current state of dance music stands given the fact that it’s more of a Booty Bass/Tech-House jam than a festival  main stage banger. Enter the Bristol UK-based duo GotSome (Alex Homes and Adam Gorsky). They’ve done something special with their track “Bassline” and it’s one funky-as-hell party anthem. I can’t remember where I heard it first, but Skream laid down “Bassline” last week in Boston and it got the crowd moving in a way few tracks can. While the intro of the song is fun, complete with sexy female vocals, things really get popping around 1:30 when, you guessed it, the bass line comes in. The track came out last month on the awesome Defected Records and has seen support from other big names like Annie Mac and Fedde le Grand (featured on his most-recent episode of Dark Light Sessions). Crank this tune up and sing along:

“This is my bassline, my bassline. Move move your waistline to my bassline. Heard it through the grapevine, my bassline”
