The Pretty Lights Music family just keeps on growing – both in size and in popularity. To celebrate their first full-length album release via Pretty Lights Music, Break Science kicked off their headlining Seven Bridges Winter Tour last week in Albany, New York with support by Pretty Lights Music artist and label mate Paul Basic. The second half of the tour will feature support by the live electronic trio Cosby Sweater, hitting up multiple cities in Colorado and throughout the Midwest. The Seven Bridges Tour will be making two stops in Massachusetts at The Paradise in Boston tonight (Thursday January 30th) and at Pearl Street Club Room in Northampton tomorrow the 31st.
Since their first full-length album Seven Bridges released on Pretty Lights Music this past Fall, Break Science have received praise surrounding their contributions to the evolution of sounds like the electronica and jam band styles that make up the band’s “live-tronica” style. Raised and influenced by the rhythm and culture of New York City, Adam Deitch (drummer of Lettuce and former tour drummer for Pretty Lights) and Borahm Lee fuse generations of the city’s rich musical legacy with their own deep-rooted connection to Hip-Hop heritage. The live show transcends audiences’ expectations with Borahm’s seasoned Trip-Hop/Dub/Soul vibes on keys, as well as his advanced live production techniques, and Adam’s thunderous & flavorful breakbeat style on the drums.
On this tour, Paul Basic will be throwing down tracks off his sophmore album Transient Horizons which released last month on the PLM label. Following his 2011 debut EP, The Mirror, Paul’s follow-up LP takes on a more refined delivery of his dark, heavy beats and shows a unique range of mood and musicality. Transient Horizons features 11 tracks and includes collaborations with Pretty Lights, Michal Menert, and Trophy Beats. Download it for free HERE.
In addition to Paul Basic, the live electronic trio, Cosby Sweater will be hopping on the second half of the Seven Bridges Tour starting on March 5th in Jackson Hole. The versatile electro jazz group blends live vocals and mixing with tenor saxaphone and drums on their first full-length album in 2012, and recently released a remix EP of Christmas classics titled The Christmas Sweater Vol. 1.
