The Glitch Mob to hit Boston, Denver, Dallas + Lots More Behind New Album

In case you haven’t heard, The Glitch Mob are kind of a big deal. The LA-based trio (Ed Ma “edIT”, Joshua Mayer “Ooah” and Justin Boreta “Boreta”) recently released their sophomore album titled Love Death Immortality [read about it here] and it’s already zipped to the top of the charts – it’s the #1 Electronic Album Worldwide and the #2 Over-All Album in the USA, both on iTunes. It also debuted at #13 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart for first week album sales. The album packs so much raw power and amazing music composition that only The Glitch Mob are capable of putting together. This isn’t your average EDM artist sitting with his or her laptop and piecing some loops together – this is true Electronic music production in its most intricate form.

Now that The Glitch Mob have seen success with Love Death Immortality it’s time for them to bring it to you live. Again, this isn’t your typical DJ getting behind the decks for a confetti-infused, hands-in-the-air type of concert experience. When The Glitch Mob perform live, they’re actually DOING IT LIVE. They bring drums and synthesizers and all sorts of electronic gadgets you’ve never even heard of to the stage and do it all in synchronized fashion. There are very few Electronic acts out there who bring a live show to the stage so you’re already in for a treat in that regard. The group loves playing in cities like Boston, where they sold out their last show at The Paradise Rock Club. I know I’m particularly excited for the Mob to come back to Boston to play at the House of Blues – I’ve seen them in festival settings but never at a true concert venue.

This March The Glitch Mob kick off their biggest tour yet, accompanied by massive production from Martin Phillips of Bionic League – who’s developed staggering concert visuals for the likes of Daft Punk, Kanye West, and Deadmau5 – hitting Portland, New Orleans, Boston, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver and more. The band also just announced they will be performing in top billing slots Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Governor’s Ball Music Festival in New York, plus their 2nd year at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2014 for the Palm Springs fest’s most talked-about lineup yet. Following Coachella the band will head overseas in May for a European tour spanning Vienna, Zurich, Berlin, Paris, London, where their concert just got moved to The Forum (Kiss, The Prodigy and Rihanna are among the legends who have graced the stage) due to the band’s popular demand.
