Another year and another location for Colorado’s annual music festival Snowball is upon us! This year as I am sure many of you already know Snowball is going urban and will be held in the surrounding vicinity of Sports Authority Field in downtown Denver. After leaving Avon a couple years ago Snowball made its way to Winter Park and due to a lack of housing in the area last year the event has decided to come down out of the mountains and into Colorado’s gorgeous capitol city. I know some people out there are a little bummed about the loss of the mountain vibe that previously made Snowball so unique, but I truly think having the event in the city is going to make everything run smoother. From artist transportation to after parties, it just makes sense to have the festival slightly closer to the best clubs in the area, the airport, and of course hotels and housing. With all that being said we at MMIBTY couldn’t be more excited for next weekend and all the amazing music coming to our gorgeous city of Denver.
Friday will start things off with a bang for sure as we hear tunes from the likes of Rose Quartz (formerly Flash/Lights), Real Magic, Option4, Herobust, Mimosa, Justin Jay, Bixel Boys, Thomas Jack, Tropicool and finally Knife Party will be closing out the evening. The Heat Hut lineup is packed back to back with the best names in house music for friday, so when in doubt, head to the The Heat Hut! Saturday on the other hand is sure to really bring the noise as Bones, MK, Pretty Lights, Brother Ali, Kill The Noise and Twin Shadow headline the days events along with many others. Sunday appears to be set up in order to bring the festival to an epic close with TWRK, Clockwork, What So Not, Keepers, Need & Necessity, Afroman, Juan MacLean, Maxxi Soundsystem, Busta Rhymes and Griz set to take the stage. The great thing about the schedule this year (full schedule after the jump) is each day is slam packed with a wide variety of music, and the daily schedules are formulated extremely well giving you lots of options for choosing your 2014 Snowball experience.
