Fresh off an awesome set last night at Boston’s Middlesex Lounge, Eats Everything (Daniel Pearce) just released his “London Rebeef” of the classic “This Is Sick” by Switch (formerly of Major Lazer). The release was done in conjunction with our friends over at Gotta Dance Dirty, our favorite West Coast music blog. The reason? Eats Everything and fellow Dirtybird player Justin Martin will be going back to back for a whopping eight hours tomorrow night at LA’s Exchange nightclub. For as good as Eats Everything’s set was last night in Boston, I’d do a lot to catch him for four times the amount of time next to one of my other favorite DJs in Justin Martin. I love Eats Everything for his DJ sets, but I never sleep on his productions and especially his “Rebeefs” which is a clever title for the remixes he releases. If you want some prime rebeefs, look at Eats Everything’s “Edits Everything” Essential Mix that came out at the end of 2012. Today’s “This Is Sick” rebeef was released exclusively with Gotta Dance Dirty and contains a thumping four-on-the-floor beat with a fun bass line. Eats Everything’s rebeef keeps the original “This Is Sick” vocal hook and makes it his own spanning over seven minutes and giving listeners and DJs something fun to work with.
