EDC NYC 2014 PREVIEW

EDC2

We are officially less than one week away from Memorial Day Weekend which means one thing; the return of EDC NYC to MetLife Stadium! Set times were announced just a few days ago and we have an all-access look at who to see. Get ready to for a full lineup of artists ranging from house, trance, techno, and even some dubstep this time around as the Electric Daisy Carnival makes its yearly stop in the tri-state area on the way to Las Vegas. The concert is set to take place on May 24th and 25th and here at MMIBTY we will be previewing both days and showing you the best of what EDC NYC has to offer this year:

May 24th

EDC NYC 2014 gets started off right with a great mix on Saturday. Playing earlier in the day are 3LAU, BlasterJaxx and Wax Motif who are all sure to get the party started fast. At night things start to get interesting with major headliners playing all three stages; so get ready to make some tough choices. Headlining the kineticFIELD back-to-back are Martin Garrix and Krewella followed by the world’s number one DJ Hardwell closing out the first night. DJ Snake and Bassnectar are holding down the cosmicMEADOW for a late night throw down of dubstep and trap that can’t be missed. Tommy Trash, R3hab, and AfroJack are set to tare it up at the cicuitGROUNDS while veteran Carl Cox plays a B2B set with Loco Dice to close out the neonGARDEN. With all of this going down on night one could night two possibly top this incredible lineup? Lets take a look:

May 25th

After raging as hard as possible on Saturday, making it back bright and early may be difficult. But if you can muster up the strength to get back to MetLife before nightfall, Skream at the neonGARDEN is a must see. Later on in the evening to close out the garden, Claude Von Stroke will be bringing his unique trance-fusion sound to the stage. GTA, Boys Noize, and a return to the stage by Nero at the cosmicMEADOW should make for an interesting variety of sounds on night two. If you missed Martin Garrix on Saturday he will be returning for a second set headlining the circuitGROUNDS with Calvin Harris and Steve Angello. Finally, don’t forget about Adventure Club and Tiesto, who will be killing it at the kineticFIELD to close out EDC NYC 2014 in style.

The bottom line is this; there are tough choices all around. But whoever said too much of a good thing can be a bad thing is dead wrong in this case. EDC NYC 2014 will have us raging out of our sneakers from the minute we walk in to the grounds until the last beat drops for the night. Whether you can only attend one night or are in for the full ride, the 2014 edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival should not be missed!
