If the city of Oakland was a sound, Dimond Saints would be that sound. Beautiful, artistic, passionate, and oh-so-dark.
Oakland’s best bass duo continues to rise from the East Bay underground in their quest to take over the world by means of future bass domination. When that Dimond Saints sound drips and drops through a loaded sound system, our bodies turn to slaves in worship of our bass masters. Quite frankly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Having seen their live show a few times recently, I kept hearing a certain track and wondering, “what was that dirty, filthy, amazing 808 shitstorm of bass devastation?” Yesterday, I got my answer, as Dimond Saints shared some love by releasing their new original track, “Sum Luv.” Like most of their music, it wobbles and it haunts, it kicks and it punches, it rips and it roars, and it mesmerizes both the body and mind. This is future bass in its most elegant form. It may sound dirty, but it’s as pure as it gets.
Dimond Saints has been taking the festival circuit by storm this year (with epic performances at Lightning in a Bottle, Northern Nights, Stilldream, and more), and “Sum Luv” has been their go-to summertime jam. Luckily for us bass lovers, it’s finally out there on SoundCloud and available to download for free. Dimond Saints are special. Keep an eye on these guys. They truly are the future of future bass. A Dimond Saints show is not something to be missed. Until then, turn up those subwoofers and prepare your body for the best beating it’s ever had.
