This shouldn’t exactly come as a surprise, but San Francisco likes to get pretty rowdy when it comes to celebrating New Year’s Eve. With this year’s fateful final day landing on a Wednesday, the City is ready to go out with a bang, as it always does, in a week-long extravaganza of debauchery and awesome music. While we don’t know where we’ll be celebrating the New Year just yet, we’re even more excited for the night before New Year’s Eve when the fine folks at Euphonic Conceptions will invite the Pretty Lights Music crew to take over 1015 Folsom for an epic Sea of Dreams after-party.
Tuesday, December 30 is destined to be one hell of a NYE warm-up. Pretty Lights Music OG and Colorado bass music mastermind Michal Menert will bring his talents to 1015 Folsom alongside his fellow Pretty Lights Music crew members Eliot Lipp, SuperVision, and Paul Basic. Joining the PLM crew will be young East Coast music maker SuperVision and the always amazing Late Night Radio. Local favorites Dailon and Boac Jackson are among the support acts. The funk is strong with this one. Music will be in multiple rooms with killer sound systems and will go until 4 a.m., an increasingly rare late-night treat in San Francisco.
Needless to say, it’s bound to be a night filled with some exceptional music, featuring Michal Menert leading the way with his unique blend of future, funk, and that heavy, high-production Colorado bass sound that we never get sick of. Don’t be surprised if Menert drops some sizzling new tracks off his highly-anticipated upcoming LP, Space Jazz, his third major release on the Pretty Lights Music record label. We personally can’t wait to hear what he has in store for us before he heads home to Colorado for a New Year’s Eve performance in Denver. We’re excited for his special brand of heavy-hitting electro-soul nu-funk bass, and his like-minded PLM companions who will have us dancing until the wee hours of the night. San Francisco, be ready to feel some Colorado vibes. This is going to be one for the books.
Come out and party all night next Tuesday with the Pretty Lights Music crew. Then wake up and do it all over again for New Year’s Eve.
