Two of my favorite DJs/producers have come together for a righteously epic track surely to amp up your weekends. Chris Lake has been one of dance music’s mainstays for over a decade while Anna Lunoe has become one of electronic’s hottest acts over the past several years. Individually, Chris Lake and Anna Lunoe have produced countless songs that are close to my heart – and that I blast out of my speakers at all times. From a live performance perspective, I’ve seen each artist DJ more times than I can count and each time was incredibly fun. Today’s jam, out now on Ultra Records, is quite true to its name. The track opens with Anna Lunoe’s voice looping over some drum-less synths before building up into a 90s-feeling House drop with a 2015 twist.
It’s a STOMPER… The anthemic vocal of Anna Lunoe roars from the opening bars, luring you into a cinematic breakdown before quickly winding up into a barrage of smudging synth stabs atop a hard hitting bass line. The sounds pay homage to 90s house on an elevated level that only Lake and Lunoe could fuse in their production – adding elements of old school, acid, house and techno for a summer heater you’ll be sure to hear blazing across stages this year.
This one is sure to hit festival stages and clubs around the world this Summer and through the end of the year, and if you’re a DJ looking for some weaponry look no further.
