The masquerading marauder that is Claptone is returning to Boston this Wednesday to once again drop his very unique brand of widely influenced house music on an intimate crowd of fans. This will be Claptone’s first time playing since the official release of his latest album Charmer a few months back and he will be undoubtedly be playing out some of his new material as well as some unreleased stuff as well.
For those of you who have yet to check out the new album, it is comprised of all original material, many of which are collaborations with some well respected artists (even Björn has a mention on “Puppet Theater”). You can always count on Claptone for melodic vocals on many of his productions, accompanied by creatively composed house music that oozes a very adult and mature vibe. I could definitely see myself still listening to Claptone’s music in 20 years which is more than I could say for a lot of the music I enjoy these days.
Claptone has sold out Bijou every time he has come in the past and will undoubtedly do so again, so if you plan to get into the groove for a little hump day relief, definitely head over to Bijou’s website now to pick up your tickets. Definitely $20 well spent.
P.S. Those of you who are going to get to see Claptone on Holy Ship… I’m jealous. Really jealous. I’ll just leave it at that.
