Oof… this one is a jam. It dropped just over a month ago and snuck through the end of 2017 when many artists were wrapping up the year (you know, year mixes, holidays, all that jazz). The infectious “Give It Up” sees two rising stars in Youngr and Endor collaborating for a song that is a bit outside each artist’s realm – with Youngr typically a bit more on the Pop side and Endor finding his sound thanks to a more aggressive UK House style. “Give It Up” samples Lee Dorsey‘s 1969 track by the same name and creates an upbeat 4×4 dance floor destroyer. I would be remiss if I didn’t give credit to Claptone for playing this on a recent podcast.
For anyone unfamiliar with Youngr or Endor I’d recommend spending time on both of their pages. Youngr has some excellent one-take videos and made splashes with his cover of Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” seen here. Endor? Well he’s just making filthy House music that falls in the spectrum of Bass House – and his 2017 year mix is quite fantastic.
Give both guys some love and make sure to look out for BIG 2018s from each!
