Our newest installment of MMIBTY’s artist spotlight turns its gaze towards an extremely talented artist by the name of Lucky Date. Hailing from San Francisco, 21 year old DJ and producer Jordan Atkins-Loria has been progressively making a name for his self in electronic music. Releasing official remixes for huge names such as Lazy Rich, Zedd, Spencer & Hill, and Wolfgang Gartner he is no stranger to electro. He recently posted a preview of his new remix for BARE and Datsik’s classic dubstep banger “King Kong” coming out soon on Subhuman Records and I couldn’t be more excited. Staying true to the iconic IN DA TRUNK sample, Lucky Date has infused his own motorcycle-esque bass making the track bump. This is only a short preview so I’m sure we’ll hear some surprises when the full track is released!
Following up this preview we have his most recent release, a remix for Mysto & Pizzi & Johnny Rose’s song “Where is Love“. I am not too found of the original, but Lucky Date’s take on the track is something special. He even manages to throw some dubstep in at the end. Check it out for yourself!
Here are a few more of my personal favorites.
