Need 30 minutes of HOT bass music? Look no further. In Bassnectar’s continuing series of bass-heavy, melt-your-face-off mixtapes, this release continues doing what he’s known for doing: making your head nod, your body move, and your face scrunch up with the thought that “oh my GOD how does he make this dirty disgusting sound??”
The tape hits on all kinds of bass music – meaning plenty of Dubstep and Drum N’ Bass, and absolutely no House tracks at 128bpm. What I like about Bassnectar’s music that differs from more typical Dubstep is that it has more of a Hip Hop element to it and isn’t pure wobble wobble wobble. The opening track is his remix of one of my favorite Beastie Boys songs ever, “Intergalactic” and the tape overall features about 50% of Bassnectars work. Other contributions come from 12th Planet, Minnesota, and Foamo. Crazy remix of Blur’s “Song 2” in there too!
