Ryan Rimmer, aka Silascopathic, is a good friend of mine, a contributor for MMIBTY, and a Boston native. Having only been writing dance music for about a year, he has grown his talents by leaps and bounds – so much so that he won a remix contest for Theophilus London. The prize for winning? Being flown to NYC to mix and master the track with London himself, some cash money, and being featured on the EP next to names such as the Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, and Skream (to name a few).
Ryan has been hard at work producing both originals and remixes as he gains more and more recognition for his work. “Count[down] Dracula” is a brand new original released just in time as he gets ready to move down to Austin, TX to begin the next phase of his life. Rimmer doesn’t stick with one format of dance music, but this one happens to be an Electro-House banger that is on the dark side of things – the synth leads really create that ominous Dracula feel. But fear not! There is no lack of fart bass or cut up effects to give it some wobbles and some nice attitude. You’d think he’s been producing music his whole life after hearing this track and I’m truly excited to hear more from him!
