The Russian duo known as Hard Rock Sofa just released their latest track in collaboration with Squire today on Spinnin’ Records. You might know HRS for their worldwide smash “Quasar”, which gained much of its international success thanks to its release through Axwell‘s Axtone Records and full support from the Swedish House Mafia during their legendary MSG set. I first heard this track last week on Tiesto’s latest Club Life podcast and it instantly stood out to me as one of the highlights from the show. It’s nothing revolutionary, and doesn’t punch nearly as hard as “Quasar”, but it will definitely find a home in the summer sets of house and trance DJ’s alike. Really hoping for a vocal mix to complete the whole package.

In related news from the weekend, SHM announced that they are putting the project behind them after this last tour (and no, they’re not coming back to the US). No details yet on why exactly, except that they all plan to continue pursuing their solo careers. They had a good run, so it’s probably best to end it before it gets old and watered down.
