The newest track from Electro-House prodigy Zedd is finally out today. Called “Spectrum”, it’s a bit more intricate than previous Zedd releases like “Slam the Door” or “Shotgun“. It also features a nice melody and vocals by Matthew Koma. To me, the name “Spectrum” seems fitting as the six-minute track goes through various ups and downs, starting off with hard-hitting kick drums and a matching bassline, complete with Electro-House type effects. Then the song breaks into a small build where Koma’s vocals shine. As the song drops again we hear familiar Zedd drums and effects and overall a very well-done track. It reminds me a bit of Porter Robinson’s recent track “Language” and shows Zedd’s ability to move into more melodic realms.
As always, if you like this track please go to Beatport and purchase it in support of the artist.
