Call me insensitive but when I hear the way MJ’s quips and “chaaaaaaamoooooaannnnna” gets sampled in these remixes, my mind immediately jumps to South Park. Completely involuntary. That episode was funny as shit. Anyways, Mr. Jackson‘s album Bad just celebrated its 25th anniversary with a 3-disc release, with one of the discs featuring remixes from Afrojack (with a feature from… Pitbull?) and Nero. Afrojack’s had been floating around the internet for a while and we just got our hands on Nero’s remix today. The former is a rather strong offering from the Dutch producer and DJ, with him straying away from his characteristic bleeps and bloops (for the most part) to put out a housey, yet not overly so, remix of the classic title track (I have the club mix for you. Sans Pitbull). Nero’s remix is the standout for me though. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten any new content from them so it’s good to see they’re still just as great as ever. That and I think they picked a good song that was suited for their style. Pick up the whole compilation here if you’re a big enough fan of Michael for three CD’s and a DVD.
