A long, ecclectic list of California-based artists will be coming to Denver, Colorado come Saturday on Beats Antique’s Animale Mechanique tour. The California based trio Beats Antique, featuring the collaboration Vermont born, multi-instrumentalist David Satori, percussionist Tommy Cappel and on-stage belly dancer Zoe Jakes will be striking through the Fillmore Auditorium Saturday night. They don’t have your typical EDM, DJ-set sound – but they bring the word fusion to a whole new level. The sounds that are produced contain Middle Eastern influence amidst ambient, glitchy sounds with a twist of jazz and hip-hop creations. These are the types of noises that will make your brain scramble into a twisted journey, all the while your feet stay moving to the groove. Beats has an original style that can attempt to be mimicked by others, but never copied entirely – and this sound that they boast, all the while Jakes dances to the tune is a special performance that you won’t want to miss.
Also playing that night is hip-hop duo from Oakland, California Zion I, hard-hitting dubstep DJ, Minnesota, and indie singer-songwriter/indie/
The show starts at 7pm and tickets are $27.50!
