Diego Camejo, who hails from Miami and currently attends Boston University, just released Volume One of his Edit Pack for free and I wanted to make sure this didn’t go unnoticed. The man with the flowing locks and a passion for melodic Big Room and Progressive House is an up-and-coming producer who has made a name for himself, among other things, as a DJ at some of South Beach’s biggest clubs. He is also a good friend of the blog, having put together an Exclusive Mix which I still have in my personal music rotation to this day. Beyond that we’ve posted his Rise Remix EP and his remix of the Komback’s “Impressions“.
What Diego did with this edit pack is pretty spectacular. A lot of major artists in the dance music world have been compiling their own mashups (I’m looking at you Kaskade, Hardwell, and Thomas Gold) and these compilations, many unreleased, have been widely successful. Diego took different bits and pieces from some of the biggest tunes in House music, including some of his own originals, and tastefully combined them into brand new compositions that are both fresh and contain that Diego Camejo flavor.
