Holy shit. This isn’t your mom’s version of Avicii & Nicky Romero’s “I Could Be The One”. In fact, it’s not your Tech-House fan’s version of it either. No, this version is for you, insane Electro-House rager. As with many mainstream House songs these days, the original is catchy and adored by the masses – but the remixes are where the true dance music fans come to play. Dutchman John Christian’s remix of “I Could be the One” made my jaw drop at about the 1:50 mark, sending me into a fury of hard-hitting Electro insanity, with a syncopation that really appealed to the former drummer in me. Coming off Feed Me’s amazing performance in Boston last night I think I’m leaking wobbles and chainsaws. Crank this one and show John Christian some love.
