C2C is a French “band” consisting of four internationally renowned turntablists with a fondness for a very unique “electro urban sound,” as it is described on their SoundCloud. I’m pretty new to them but that doesn’t mean they haven’t accrued quite the decent following. Having made a name for themselves by winning the DMC turntabilism contest as a quartet four years in a row, they have since started in on the production side of things and put out their debut album Tetra last fall. I must say I have absolutely fallen in love with these guys listening through to the LP on Spotify and after seeing the new video to one of the more upbeat singles from it, “Happy”. Hearing the way they were able to combine serious soul flavor, turntablism and an absolutely infectious beat really reflects on their seemingly endless creative talent. This song does as promised and will put a smile on your face. I also included another favorite of mine off the album. Check out the video for a very appropriate take on “Happy” after the jump. Also, any producers out there who would be interested in taking on remix duties for this great track, C2C is hosting a remix content that you can enter over here.
