Contrary to the title of this post, this is not the first time The M Machine has been presented, in fact I personally have posted quite a few of their tracks. Hailing from LA this trio consisting of Ben Swardlick, Eric Luttrell, and Andy Coenen have been on my radar ever since the release of “Promise Me A Rose Garden” which was subsequently played out by anyone worth their salt in the winter of 2011 to 2012.
I believe it is their focus on very high quality vocals, and lyrics tied in with some very classic synths tied in with the ability to diversify their sound from crunchy American dubstep, to really deep house that has had me following these guys. But let me get to the mix.
The mix is very eclectic, there seems to be a little bit of everything, some very popular tunes that the average joe could pick right out of the beatport top 100 and some tracks that really surprised me. Overall I feel the mix was a balanced display of the interests of the troupe as well as some adjustment to being a part of EDM giant OWSLA (Skrillex’s own label). They just recently released a new album, a follow up “Metropolis” titled “Metropolis ii”, its pretty amazing and I suggest you take a second to check it out. Below you will see the mix itself, streamed and downloadable as well as a track list, cheers.
