The Nu-disco storm that is The Presets, Dragonette’s, and Classixx‘ North American tour heads west finally to disco loving Denver and The Ogden Theatre. Having the opportunity to see Classix just 3 weeks ago in Denver, along with a pretty consistent flow of nu-disco acts gracing our city with their presence, there is no doubt Denver likes to disco. Hailing from Australia, Toronto, and LA this tour is the epitome of todays worldwide nu-disco scene as the three acts team up with each other from their respective corners of the globe. The tour makes a stop by Boston this weekend and you can still win tickets to the Massachusetts stop of the tour so be sure to check out all the great music included on the Boston Show Preview as well.
Although Classixx has been running all over the country supporting The Presets and Dragonette they have still managed two big releases in the last two weeks. The first piece is a brand new track featuring the forever disco vocals of Nancy Whang, with the addition of Classixx bouncy rhythms this track is nothing but total summertime fun. As if that wasn’t enough Classixx teamed up with the guys at Solé Bicycles for the creation of the eleventh edition of the Solé Fixtape Series providing us with 45 minutes of summertime disco fun. All the info for the May 18th tour stop at The Ogden Theatre in Denver Colorado can be found here, make sure to get there early because even though Classixx is the opener tonight, they are not to be missed!
