Eric Estornel (Maceo Plex/Maetrik) has decided to offer up his elusive edit of Aphex Twin’s ambient breakbeat classic “Polynomial C” today on SoundCloud. Estornel has been sneaking this one into sets for the past handful of months and we are pleased to offer a free download of this four on the floor rework of an electronic classic. The original was released back in 1992 on the timeless Belgian imprint R & S Records and the track remains an IDM favorite to this day. If you want some context regarding Maceo Plex/Maetrik, I have also included his set from Movement Detroit that garnered a ton of praise after it went down on a rainy day in Hart Plaza this past Memorial Day. If you are not familiar, Maceo Plex and his more tech-heavy alter ego Maetrik, is an artist very worth exploring if you fancy yourself a fan of deep/tech.
