Dan Clare Steps and Mat.Joe & Robosonic Got Game

Not too long ago I introduced you to Dan Clare by way of his G-House track “Magic City” which was featured on one of my favorite radio shows, the Deep House Cat show. The British producer used vocal samples from “The Setup” by Obie Trice and “Magic City” became an instant part of my House collection. Today Dan Clare messaged us to call attention to his latest track “Step” which he classifies as Sleazy Disco. On “Step” we get some sexy Disco vocals, some chopped-and-screwed Hip Hop hooks, and a fat bass line – pretty much the three biggest keys to my heart at this point.  If my ears are working correctly, the hook of “So when you step through the door, the music gets loud” comes from the track “World of Entertainment (WOE is Me)” by Jurassic 5 – a fantastic selection for this type of track.

Dan Clare is looking for your love and a free download is available by Liking his Facebook page. Enjoy!

About a month ago the German House duo Mat.Joe released their latest track “Got Game” in collaboration with fellow German duo Robosonic. Mat.Joe had previously released a track called “Down for This” which instantly became one of my favorite House tracks in a long time. I first heard it on the awesome Claptone 50,000 mix and I instantly added Mat.Joe to my radar. Scrolling through their SoundCloud page the other day I listened to the gem “Got Game” and was immediately impressed. The song samples The Game ft. 50 Cent’s “Hate It or Love It” which originally samples The Trammps’ “Rubber Band”. “Got Game” is a track that brings Deep House and G-House back to funk and soul roots with some nice Hip Hop influences. If you like what you hear show Mat.Joe and Robosonic some love!
