Stevie Wonder – Superstition (Autograf Remix)

In the months since the release of Autograf’s remix of Marvin Gaye’s “Grapevine”, the mysterious Chicago-based trio has generated quite the fanbase. Their unique “future house” sound has pleased dance music fans and non-fans alike, absolutely wrecking the charts over at Hype Machine and spreading like wildfire. While little is known of Autograf, what is understood is their ability to turn out incredible remixes of classic songs and they’ve done it again with their latest, a take on the famous and notoriously upbeat “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder. In classic Autograf style, the tempo gets turned down and the vibes get turned out, creating something much less of remix and much more of a standalone production, simply letting Stevie’s vocals do the layering. It’s quite a departure from the original but I would imagine even Stevie Wonder himself would approve. The boys have asked if you would so kindly support them by giving them a heart on Hypem and they’ll ” keep making free music! Deal?” Grab the free DL as well and stay tuned to the Autograf network – this programming is only just ramping up.

In case you’ve missed it, don’t miss the song that put them on the map for me: their remix of Amtrac’s “Walkin'”.
