In anticipation of the new album I AM OK from Oliver Koletzki, international electronic publication Mixmag has gotten their hands on an exclusive remix and free download from fellow German and notoriously long-nosed DJ/producers Claptone. We’ve been longtime fans of Claptone here at MMIBTY, first falling in love with their Deep House take of Wu-Tang’s “C.R.E.A.M,” and have been always eager to see their progression. This time Claptone are taking on the lead single for Koletzki’s album “After All.” Originally a decidedly more poppy piece from Koletzki, Claptone gives it a deep, late-night vibe that, sans-vocals, even reminds me of Kavinsky at times. The beautiful vocals from Nörd provide an indie flair but bring incredible warmth to the track. It’s more than we could’ve ever asked for in a free track from Claptone.
