New music is most of what we do here and its understandable, seeing as how music, particularly dance music, seems to be shifting constantly. We wouldn’t be doing our jobs very well if we weren’t covering the latest and greatest all the time, but sometime you just need to rediscover or rehash an older track. Such is the case with this Vintage Culture remix of The Beatles’ classic “Come Together”. This remix ended up being my introduction to Vintage Culture and what an introduction it was. The Brazilian producer (appropriately enough) has one of the most interesting and varied SoundCloud profiles I’ve seen in a while, with so many originals, remixes and bootlegs spanning deep house, G-house, indie dance, nu-disco, jackin house and techno.
But enough about Vintage Culture’s stacked catalog. This remix is enough to make you fall in love. Taking on The Beatles is no small feat and VC has handled the task with expert hands, churning out a bassline-heavy head-bopper. You can tell immediately that he maintains such a unique sound – a far departure from the watered down deep house everywhere these days – no doubt influenced by his Brazilian culture. Grab the free download below and be sure to head to Vintage Culture’s SoundCloud for much more.
Keeping in the same vein, don’t miss Vintage Culture’s remix of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall” – another great nod to a classic. There’s literally tons more like this.
