“Complete Control”, the latest production from DC based hip hop artists Lyrx and Royal, is a song that takes you back to the days when electronic beats and lyrically conscious lyrics coincided with the likes of Nujabes and Jurassic 5. This is the first release off of the newly minted Redact Collective between various artists between Philadelphia and Washington DC, created to “foster a collaborative and supportive community of artists in the DMV.” When Lyrx raps “This is the beginning of my journey to get complete control” he’s already convinced us more than enough to stay tuned for his next release.
