There’s never a dull moment with the San Francisco/LA-based record label Dirtybird. Whether the crew is aboard Holy Ship, touring North America with a healthy dose of beats and BBQ, or throwing their always-sold-out quarterly parties in San Francisco there is always one theme in mind: party. Back a few months ago fans of the underground House/Booty Bass label were treated to exciting news that Dirtybird was planning its own festival for the weekend of October 2-4 2015, inclusive of camping. Though details were sparse, a “save the date” was sent out with more information to come soon.
Well, we finally have more information on the first-ever Dirtybird Campout. Yesterday the Phase 1 lineup was announced as well as a general location in Southern California, though we don’t quite know where the exact venue is yet. DJs on the lineup include Dirtybird founders Claude Vonstroke and Justin Martin, as well as key players in J. Phlip, Kill Frenzy, and Justin Jay. But this is just the tip of the iceberg: many more guest DJs will be announced over the coming months.

You’re never too old to go to summer camp! Dust off the camping gear and calibrate your compasses, the three day DIRTYBIRD Campout is coming to Southern California. Claude VonStroke & Justin Martin will be your camp counselors for a weekend of late night s’mores, awkward games of spin the bottle, tug of war, and rump-shaking tunes out in the woods of SoCal. Pitch a tent with your friends and get ready for DIRTYBIRD’s first ever curated festival with many more artists to be announced.
