Louis The Child, the exploding duo our of Chicago that’s snatching up fans left and right with their Flume-esque “future” sound, have just treated us to some new music. Two new songs in fact. I had the pleasure of seeing them this past Friday at The Middle East in Cambridge and the sold-out crowd was really digging these two latest tracks, both of which they debuted at the show.

First up is a remix of The Knock’s latest single – a collaboration with Matthew Koma (of Zedd fame) which features an extremely orchestral breakdown, complete with heavy organ and synthesized flutes. It’s more of a downtempo, late-night or sexy time affair sure to please.

This next one is huge for them – an official release straight off the newest OWSLA compilation “Worldwide Broadcast” alongside new releases from big players like Skrillex, Mija, Alvin Risk and more. This one is an indie dance tune with a funky, syncopated rhythm that oozes steel drum, tropical vibes.

Finally, if you haven’t heard their newish Miike Snow official remix of “Genghis Khan” – press play immediately. This one is a definite crowd-pleaser.

These kids are young AF and are only going up from here. If you have a chance to catch them on their tour going on right now, I definitely recommend you check them out.
