Three long nights and two full days of blistering beats and heated bodies brought Splash House August into the discussion once again for festival of the summer. Taking place in sunny Palm Springs, California, the multi-day event managed to pack over 30+ DJs and performers into a marathon event, rotating artists between three beautiful pool locations and an after-hours back to back night event at the local Air Museum. The festival attendees themselves reveled in the chance to show off their hilarious pool balconies, not wasting a chance to shower other attendees down with super soakers and confetti while people grooved to the poolside beats.
Highlights of the weekend included a deep Detroit house set featuring Golf Clap back to back Denver native Option4 getting the crowd going at Saguaro on Saturday while Anjunadeep staples Luttrell and Lane 8 took over the Renaissance stage all day Sunday to a beautiful sunset backdrop. The temperatures of 100 degrees plus couldn’t take the coolness of Croatia Squad’s Daft Punk remixes away before the surprise artist of the weekend Yung Bae dropped into a disco-infused evening set that had the pools rocking.
The Air Museum after hours parties went well into the night with Toolroom record’s own Mark Knight and Hot Since 82 ripping the doors off the converted bomber airplane stage. This August Splash House proved to be one for the books and once again established itself to be the place to be to drip and dance all across the Summertime dance floors.
