Whoo! Welcome back to Survival! I was still surviving the last day of Snowball Music Festival last weekend so forgive me for not bringing you the weekly goodies. I don’t have much to say tonight except it’s nice to be having a quiet Sunday after all the debauchery from last weekend. Let’s get after it.
Tiesto just released this song today as a promo for his upcoming Club Life Vol. II album set to be released soon, which this time around focuses on the Miami music scene, which has clearly been a huge influence on Tiesto throughout his career. This song brings the summer vibes with some of his old trance and progressive influences followed by a wild drop and I must say, I’m enjoying it like almost everything else he’s been doing lately.

Another major house player, Calvin Harris, brought us a preview of his latest remix of his own song. It’s slow to start but when it hits, it shows that Mr. Harris hasn’t sold out yet, even though every preteen is belting out his song with Rhianna these days.

Zeds Dead got after another track this week… This time it is a “re-refix” of the Danger remix of Sebastian Tellier’s song “Devine”. I love Danger as a producer already so Zeds adding their own touch is welcome. It’s everything you’ve come to expect from Zeds lately.

Here we’ve got a harder take on Dillon Francis’ stuff. He absolutely murdered it in The Groove Tent at Snowball (while I was getting murdered by some guy’s backpack) and I’m pretty sure he dropped this remix. It goes hard and it’s not my favorite Francis but I can imagine this goes super hard in any DJ set.

BONUS: My favorite remix from last week that I never got a chance to share. In an interesting choice, Lenno, a disco-house artist who we’ve featured in the past, brought his sound to Dirty South & Thomas Gold’s latest hit “Eyes Wide Open”. Loved the original and I knew before I pressed play that this would be hot.
