Music videos are an interesting concept. On the one hand, tons of music videos, particularly pop and hip-hop ones seem to follow a very formulaic style and rarely impress me. On the other, sometimes you see videos that bring new life to a song and it seems like the visuals almost complete what the artist was originally trying to convey. In this unofficial video for Skrillex and Wolfgang Gartner‘s collaboration off Skrill’s Bangarang EP, that is certainly the case. I caught this one early on but I’m sure it’s going to go viral. Here’s what the director, Arev Manoukian, had to say:
This film is the hauntingly dark journey of a newly married man trapped in a deep erotic dream. The dream quickly turns into a nightmare as he spirals down into The Devil’s Den.
