Thomas Gold Remixes Miike Snow and Chuckie & Gregori Klosman Reunite

Normally Mondays suck. The weekend is over, yet you’re likely still feeling the effects of the fun you had. You have a week of work or school ahead of you and all you want to do is keep the party going. Well fortunately for fans of dance music, Mondays are a blessing. Week after week we are treated to new releases by some of the best producers in the world and this week was no exception. The dust has finally settled and I have two highlights for you.

First up is Thomas Gold‘s (SoundCloud) remix of “The Wave”, originally produced by the Swedish Indie-Pop trio Miike Snow. EDM producers have been having a field day remixing Miike Snow’s work (I’m looking at guys like Dirty South for his remix of “Devil’s Work” and Wolfgang Gartner for his remix of “Paddling Out” – both are highly recommended by the way) and my guess is because although the original tracks have some kind of beat, they aren’t quite dance-floor-ready but they do feature vocals perfect to throw in House tracks. Thomas Gold, who has really made a name for himself with his remixes (Adele, Lady Gaga), took the best parts of the original track and simply made them House anthems that will undoubtedly destroy dance floors. He kept the “drum line” snares and added a four-on-the-floor kick drum with some heavy bass. The vocals remain intact to keep the song quite melodic. Released on Axwell’s Axtone Records and available to purchase HERE.

The second piece of today’s puzzle is a new House/Dirty Dutch/Dunch House (okay I made that last one up) collaboration by the Dutchmaster Chuckie (SoundCloud) and Frenchman Gregori Klosman (SoundCloud). This track goes significantly harder than the track above and doesn’t contain any vocals, but it’s one that will definitely get you pumped up as the Summer days approach. We get heavy-hitting kick drums and an Electro-House-esque lead bass line with some nice synths over the rhythm. Chuckie is on an absolute tear lately and Klosman has done a great job of building his name up. And folks, this ain’t their first rodeo, after releasing the MASSIVE track “Mutfakta” back in 2011 to high acclaim (I got to see Chuckie drop it live and it got the crowd sooo hyphy). You can pick up “The Numb3r5” HERE.
