Coming Attractions: What October Has Left To Offer

As we get closer and closer to the end of 2012, many of dance music’s biggest names are pushing to get out quality tracks to close out the year with. They’ve spent weeks upon weeks touring all around the world, but in the mean time have been working in between shows to create the awesome tracks that fans recognize them by. We’ve got plenty of EDM big shots looking to push some big productions out this month, and here’s what is in store for just this week!

Figure — Monsters, Volume 3

 Bassnectar — Freestyle EP

Seven Lions — Days To Come

Dada Life — The Rules of Dada

Some big names on that list! Figure is coming back with some hardcore bass music as he returns just in time for Halloween with his Monsters series! Bassnectar drops his Freestyle EP to compliment his tour and his mixtape from last week, which in case you missed it, we posted it here for you guys so you can gear up for the EP. Here’s a track from the mixtape also as a little bonus!

Zion I – Human Being (Bassnectar Edit)

We also had one of our other writers do a look into what to expect from the Seven Lions EP here, which looks to highlight their signature dubstep style. Finally, we have some house music in the form of our friends Dada Life. This is a full album, containing much of their previous hit singles, along with plenty of new material for fans to enjoy!

Dada Life – Boing Clash Boom [HQ RIP]

Aside from albums, we also have to take into account single tracks being released. I’m only going to highlight my favorite that is being released this week: a remix by Starkillers of Gareth Emery’s ‘Concrete Angel’

Now let’s go past this week into the end of the month!! Here are some large releases from some familiar names:

Kill The Noise  — The Black Magic EP

Calvin Harris — 18 Months

Swedish House Mafia — Until Now (Deluxe Version & Regular Version)

Huge releases here! Kill The Noise’s last major release was their EP ‘Kill Kill Kill’, which was last November, so expect this to pack plenty of heavy bangers. The Swedish House Mafia album, similar to their ‘Until One’, will be a collection of their most played tracks and bootlegs including many festival staple tracks that have graced our ears since they’ve been together as a group. Calvin Harris is releasing a full length similar to Dada Life’s album: half re-released singles, half new material. With guests such as Dillon Francis, Ellie Goulding, Example, and Tinie Tempah, you’ll be hearing songs by Calvin Harris played out for a long time. Here’s the full album preview for your enjoyment:

Now I’m ALMOST done, but there’s a few things left. First, what’s dance music without the live productions? Electric Zoo presales have already begun, and Ultra Music Festival’s presales are this Thursday. Also, as part of Ultra’s 15 year anniversary they will be celebrating, they are making a special announcement today (10/15) so make sure to grab you tickets ASAP
