How About Some House Music? Sets by Dutchmen Sander Kleinenberg and Fedde le Grand!

Oh heyyyy funky House music, you’re here just in time for the weekend? Perfect. As a fan of this genre of dance music I’m very excited to bring you a live set by Sander Kleinenberg, recorded live at Chicago’s Spybar on October 26th of this year (my 25th birthday, wish I was there for this). Kleinenberg just released this one and it’s a real doozy: 90 minutes of funky Tech-House that starts on the mellower side and picks up as the set goes on. Ever since hearing the Dutchman’s guest mix on Dance Department episode 325 (1/4/12) I’ve been a huge fan, mostly because that may be one of my favorite 30-minute guest mixes I’ve ever heard. Sander Kleinenberg may not be a household name the way a certain other Sander is (yes, Van Doorn), but this guy slays it. No set list available but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying it.

The other set today is by one of my favorite DJ/Producers in the world, Mr. Fedde le Grand. He easily stole the show at Sensation White America last month and his Dark Light Sessions radio shows continue to feature amazing House music, with both funky and underground tracks and more heavy-hitting dance floor destroyers (I really do like using that term. Thanks Tiesto). Again, there is no set list as this just came out today, but Fedde makes sure to announce each track in the set. My personal favorite, although hard to choose, was “Once Again” by Swen Baber & Massimo Nocito that is an Electro-House track featuring elements of guys like Mord Fustang or Porter Robinson. See below for the track. I also need to shout out Chocolate Puma & Gregor Salto’s “Gimme Sum” because that’s one of my favorites of the moment – see below for that too. Oh, and “Personal Bong” may be the best mash-up name ever. Enjoy your weekends – hope to see Boston crew out at Nadastrom tonight!
