We’ve been avid followers of Toronto duo Keys N Krates for a long time, dating back to their Blackout EP back before people had even heard of trap music. While their notoriety back then stemmed from their “live remixing” sound, they have truly found a home in the emergence of the trap scene, while still maintaining all that makes their style stand apart from the rest. Their new EP, being released for free like all their music through Dim Mak Records, is a true representation of just how much their style has changed. But hardly for the worse. Lucid Dreams is an appropriate name for the EP as every track, starting with the very dreamy intro, carries that less aggressive trap sound. You may recognize their epic “Follow Me Down” remix and their appropriately titled “NOWIMGUNNACHANGE” but the rest is just more great music to pile on to your KNK collection.
