Amine Edge and Dance-My Girl [Mr. Nice Guy]

Amine_Edge__DANCE

This week brings another addition to the growing collection of g-house dance floor weaponry. I thank my lucky stars every day for artists like Amine Edge, Dance, Kolombo, Sishi Rosch, and Marco Darko for cleverly combining aspects of two classic sounds to further fortify this compelling and fast-growing sub-genre. For those not familiar, Frenchmen Amine Edge and Dance are at the forefront of the budding g-house movement.  As an additional recap, g-house (short for gangster house) combines elements of deep house with hip-hop vocal samples to provide a delightful sonic concoction for the listener.  With regard to the main course today, “My Girl” is a home run hit perfectly in advance of Amine Edge and Dance’s forthcoming album release on the reputable Get Physical imprint.  Released Monday on the delightfully sleazy Mr. Nice Guy imprint out of Miami (the label’s SoundCloud bio states, “No Hype, No All American Smiles. Just Talent & Dick Length. Not accepting demos 2013- 2015.”), this track should earn lasting play this summer with its sleazy bass line and catchy vocals set amid splashes of funky electro. In addition,  I’ve also included an Amine Edge + Dance Mix so that you  may further marinate yourself in g-house flavor. Enjoy.
