MMIBTY Exclusive Mix From DudeNGuy (DJ Cuz’N Kev & DJ Danny Fly)

MMibty neighborhood watch logo

As being so deeply involved in the music world as I am, I’m constantly being surrounded by other people who live and breathe for the music that “awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.” Nothing like a good Nicholas Sparks reference to really get the point across, am I right? With that being said, it’s hard to think of anyone else I know that’s more dedicated and in love with music than Kevin Markey and Danny Gawrych of Worcester, MA, AKA DJ Cuz’N Kev and DJ Danny Fly. Actually, I’m 100% positive on that. Both have become quite the popular DJs, and it’s really good to see musicians with a lot of natural talent like them getting so much credibility and praise over their dope work. They’re always working around the clock to make and perfect their own beats and mixes. It was only a matter of time until the two teamed up. Just recently they started to collaborate and produce as DudeNGuy. They’re clearly a good team, seeing they have a lot of fun making some awesome mixes and other tracks together. From 90’s to Hip-Hop to Top 40’s, they sure know how to whip up a party mix that’ll have you up and dancing in seconds.

Day by day, you’ll find Kevin working at Guitar Center where he’ll be sharing his knowledge and expertise on the subject with other music enthusiasts and aspiring artists. On the other hand, Danny will be working as a PV Systems Engineer at SolarFlair Energy, Inc. Kid’s fancy, huh? By night, you can find them both at a number of different bars and clubs every night of the week, throwin’ down, turnin’ up, and getting the crowd’s faces to melt and heads to roll. They don’t go a week without being fully booked for at least every Thursday-Saturday night⎯and that’s really saying something. No matter what venue, or event they’re spinning at, they’ve certainly got a talent for easily being able to feel out the crowd. They can match their sets to the crowd’s specific tastes in genres in order to make that their most enjoyable night out they’ve ever had⎯or close to it.

Not only do they play at night clubs and bars, but they have also been booked and killed it at numbers of weddings, corporate functions (Gillette Stadium, Boston World Trade Center, Connecticut Convention Center, Laconia Bike Week, Electric Run:Hartford Official After Party, etc.), private events, and even school dances (those kids probably didn’t know what hit them). If any of you were at the after party for the Electric Run in Hartford, you’ll definitely be able to speak on DudeNGuy‘s behalf in saying that they murder it when they play together. Not to mention the fact that they opened for DSK CHK⎯that’s pretty impressive.

When DudeNGuy showed some interest in wanting to do an exclusive mix for MMIBTY, I was so excited for them! Their newest mix called “Neighborhood Watch” is about 60 minutes of some pumping Progressive House, with a hint of Trap and Dubstep. There’s a pretty great tracklist lined up which certainly radiates a lot of energy. These guys are all about shuffling on the dance floor, so naturally this mix will have you doing just that. Have no fear, DudeNGuy is here to keep all you dancin’ fools in check. Listen to it below!

Both Kevin and Danny together, as well as on their own, are definitely on their way to becoming more and more apparent in the EDM scene, seeing that they’re constantly booking better and better gigs. If you know of anyone or any venues who are looking to book a great DJ or two, this would be your DudeNGuy. Give them a couple of thumbs up on their Facebook pages and take a look at their weekly schedules to see where you can party with them! Catch them at some of their weekly homes: Bar FX Worcester, Industry Bar Room, The Center Bar and Grill, Varsity, Mahoney’s PubThe Banner Bar & Grille, and 41 North!
