Coming across the pond from Hackney, London is the quartet fondly referred to as Rudimental. Following the debut of their first album Home comes a sweet little 4 track remix pack with some big names attached.
A truly soul driven team, their sounds are sweet and deep and complex. “Free” featuring Emeli Sande is a very passionate composition that is superbly produced. The song slowly rises and falls to build a very emotional crescendo climaxing to a wonderful conclusion all along wrapped in Emeli’s silky voice.
Here we have 3 additional renditions of this tune by Maya Jane Coles, Nas and Roy Davis Jr. up for free that are incredible reworks of the first track. Nas layers on a tasteful touch of hip-hop, Maya brings us a dance tune that really goes and Roy Davis Jr gives us an edition that you can’t help but want to throw in your car, turn the windows down and just cruise to.
